Selling your used laptop is a great way to get some cash back on an old computer. But it can also be tricky if you don’t know what you’re doing, which is where I come in. In this guide, we’ll go over how to evaluate and sell your used laptops so that you get the most money possible!

Not all used laptops are created equal

Not all used laptops are created equal. There are several factors you should consider when buying or selling a laptop, including:

  • Condition – Is it in good shape? Does it have any scratches or dents? Will the battery still hold a charge? Has it been dropped and damaged internally, causing problems with its functionality (e.g., overheating)?
  • Age – How old is this thing? Is it more than five years old already? If so, then chances are you won’t be able to sell it for much money on eBay because people tend not to buy older machines anymore because they’re slower and less powerful than newer ones–and they also tend not to want them because they don’t want outdated technology either! So if yours is older than five years old then… no worries though because there’s another option available which we’ll talk about next paragraph below
  • Brand – Is it an HP? An Acer? A Dell? A Sony? These are all good brands and will likely sell for more money than a random no-name laptop. If it’s a MacBook, then definitely expect to get more money for it! Processor speed – How fast is the processor of this computer, measured in gigahertz (GHz)? The higher the number, the better! RAM size – How much memory does this laptop have? Is it 1 GB or 2 GB or even 4 GB? More is always better, so if you’re looking to sell your old laptop, then try and make sure that it has at least 2 GB of RAM before selling.

How to Maximize Profits by Selling Used Laptops

So you’re selling a used laptop. If you want to maximize profits and minimize losses, here are some tips:

  • Make sure that you know what the product is and how it can be used before attempting to sell it. If you don’t know how much someone would pay for your item, there’s no way they’ll know either! Don’t waste time on something that isn’t worth the effort–you’ll only end up losing money in the long run (and possibly even damaging your reputation).
  • Be clear about what exactly it is that you’re trying to sell. People won’t buy from someone who doesn’t make things clear from the beginning; this includes both sellers and buyers alike!

How To Evaluate Your Used Laptop

Before you can get the most value out of your used laptop, you need to be able to evaluate it. Here are some things to consider:

  • Detailed Description Of Your Laptop: A detailed description of your laptop should include the make, model, size and condition of all components (including battery life) as well as any problems that may have arisen since purchasing it. If there are any issues with functionality or performance that can’t be fixed by software updates or upgrades but instead require repair work by professional technicians–or worse yet replacement parts–then this information should also be included in your ad along with an estimate of how much those repairs would cost if they were necessary.
  • Detailed Description Of Problem(s): If there is an issue affecting functionality or performance, then this must be clearly stated, so potential buyers know exactly what they’re getting into before making an offer on a piece-of-junk machine!

Selling Your Used Laptop on eBay, Craigslist or Other Online Marketplaces

Selling your used laptop on eBay or Craigslist is a great way to make some extra cash, but it’s important that you do it the right way. Here are some tips for selling your used laptop:

  • Make sure the battery is fully charged before shipping it out. The last thing you want is for your buyer to be disappointed by their purchase because they can’t use their new machine right away!
  • Ship using a tracking number so that the buyer can track their package and know when it will arrive at their doorstep. This also protects both of you from fraud by ensuring delivery has actually taken place. If someone tries this trick on me, I’ll know exactly where my stolen goods ended up–and who took them there!

How to Sell Your Used Laptops at a Local Computer Store

If you’re looking for a quick, reliable way to sell your laptop, it may be best to check with local computer stores. Many of these businesses will buy used laptops and other electronics from customers who want to get rid of their old gadgets. In fact, there are even online marketplaces where individuals can go online and sell their used devices directly through the company’s website.

The first step in selling your used laptop at a store is making sure that they actually do so! You’ll need to call or visit each business individually before determining whether they accept this type of product; some might only be able to offer cash, while others might have special deals set up with specific manufacturers or retailers (such as Best Buy).

Once you’ve made contact with an interested retailer, ask questions about price quotes and warranty coverage–you want all the details before committing yourself! Look into how much money other people have gotten when selling similar models; this will give insight into what kind of profit margin may exist here too.

Finally, make sure you have all of your paperwork in order before making the trip. You’ll need to provide proof of identification and ownership if you’re selling it through a store; these may include receipts or other documentation from when you originally purchased the laptop.

Sell Your Used Laptops to an ITAD Company

If you’re looking to make some money by selling your used laptop, an ITAD company is the best option. These companies buy used laptops and other IT equipment, refurbish the items, and then resell them.

The process is simple: you email or call an ITAD company with information about what kind of laptop(s) you have for sale, how many there are and when they were purchased by your organization. The company will then send out a quote so that you can see how much they are willing to pay for each machine based on its condition and age. Once they agree on a price with you, they’ll arrange pickup of all the equipment at once or over time–whatever works best for both parties involved!

Make Sure You Know What You’re Selling and How it Can be Used Before You Sell

Before you sell your used laptop, make sure you know what it’s capable of and what it can be used for. If you’re not sure, ask a friend or family member who knows about computers. If they don’t have any experience with laptops, try searching online for answers–there are tons of forums where people share their knowledge with each other!

If after all that research, you still feel like this particular model isn’t right for someone in particular (maybe because they’re looking for something more powerful), then don’t sell it at all; instead keep using it until someone comes along who does need one just like yours!

Conclusion

In the end, the best way to sell used laptops is to take advantage of what you have and make sure it’s being used in the most efficient way possible. Think about how you can increase efficiency by reorganizing your office space or streamlining workflows. You might even find ways to cut down on costs by using less expensive resources like online tools instead of hiring more employees!

In recent years, the supply of different types of processors for PCs has increased. Knowing how to choose the best option can be a detail that will make all the difference in optimizing work in a business environment.

The following article details the processors’ function and their types and tips on choosing the best model for your company.

What Is The Processor, And What Is It For?

The processor is an essential component of computers and is related to speed at work, using data and programs. The main difference between the existing types is the performance power for different functions.

Powerful processors work with a large volume of data for several hours without slowing down the machine.

One processor is more suitable than the other depending on the company’s operational needs, which includes the choice of software and other activities according to the workstation’s objectives. There are no better or worse types of processors but those best suited for specific functions.

Intel and AMD processors are popular in business computers. Let’s learn a little about the characteristics of each of them and what you should take into consideration to select the right product according to your computing demands.

Types Of Intel Processors

Processors must be chosen based on the company’s priorities.

These processors are popular because some versions are available at lower prices for essential performance and are used in everyday operations that do not require extensive work with data every second.

There are versions of Intel processors with more capacity than the conventional standard. Still, these are available at higher prices and must be installed in computers with specific components.

Check out a list of the main types of Intel PC processors:

  • Intel QUARK SOC
  • Intel ATOM
  • Intel ITANIUM
  • Intel XEON
  • Intel CELERON
  • Intel PENTIUM
  • Intel CORE

If you consider computers for companies, the most used Intel processors are of two lines: Intel CORE for computers and notebooks and Intel XEON for servers and workstations.

Intel Processors For Business Computers

See the characteristics of the two Intel Core PC processors commonly used in business computers and see if they are helpful for your machine’s needs.

i9 Processor: It is the most recent release of the Intel Core line. Because it is an expensive option, it is still only used by hobbyists or those needing high processing power. It is a novelty for now, but it will soon be the market standard.

The i9 processor stands out for its 260GB RAM and superior performance for sharing information with different video or audio programs. Furthermore, it can keep the PC turned on for several hours at a time without freezing or slowing down operations.

i7 Processor: It is characterized by working with RAM of up to 64GB, numbers valid for companies that use various professional programs, and also needs to always access the internet without running a significant risk of the computer crashing while running the software. This choice is for machines from companies that do not work with many audiovisual files but that frequently develop spreadsheets or text files.

i5 processor: The i5 processor is designed to meet the demands of the mid-range market that performs heavier daily tasks and is available in two- and four-core models. Furthermore, the i5 line has shared cache memory of up to 8 MB and an integrated DDR controller.

i3 Processor: The Intel i3 has slightly less processing power than the i7 and i5. However, the Hyper-Threading feature allows it to simulate the existence of more cores, improving its performance. It is suitable for less demanding CPU lines and has a 4 MB shared cache memory and support for up to 1,333 MHz RAM.

Core 2 Duo Processor: Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor has two cores and can still be found on the used car market. As it is older, it is recommended for tasks that require little processing power, such as issuing notes, customer service software, and even as an alternative to dumb terminals.

Another alternative processor type for corporate PCs is the Intel Xeon line, emphasizing the Xeon E3 version. This version is dedicated to companies that work with applications requiring excellent graphic reproduction, featuring advanced thermal dissipation, and which do not efficiently heat machines connected for several hours at a time. Xeon processors are found in workstations and servers.

AMD Processors For Corporate Computers

The AMD line is famous for offering different types of PC processors with essential performance and generally below-average prices. They are helpful for businesses that want to save money and are not as demanding on data processing.

Two of the AMD processor versions that are worth it for companies are A-series and Ryzen.

A-Series: Intended for installation in notebooks due to low energy consumption requirements.

Ryzen: Ideal processor for sectors that need to multitask with different types of software and small, medium, or large files, offering superior performance at popular prices.

As tech security advances, so do cybercrime tactics, so to keep hackers at bay, a few tips and tricks are required. But don’t worry – they’re super quick and easy to implement.

Let’s look at smartphone hacking and the best ways to avoid it.

Can Smartphones Be Hacked?

Unfortunately, they can indeed.

In fact, cell phone scams now account for more than 60 percent of digital fraud, which includes phishing attacks to stolen passwords, so our smartphones are super vulnerable if left unprotected.

Our smartphones are brimming with sensitive data – emails, messages, photos, financial info, and more, which can be a free-for-all for cybercriminals looking to get their mucky paws on your private data.

Fear not, though. Knowledge is your best weapon against cyber criminals, and understanding the potential threats is the first step towards cranking up your smartphone’s defenses.

Here are some examples of how hackers might target your smartphone:

  • Malicious apps: imagine scrolling through your app store, looking for the next addition to your smartphone. Among the sea of legit apps are malicious ones created by hackers. These blend in seamlessly by mimicking the appearance and functionality of safe apps, luring unsuspecting users into their trap. Once downloaded, they unleash malware – malicious software designed to infiltrate your device. But that’s not all. Even legit apps can be victims of a cyber attack, which is why your phone needs top-notch security.
  • SMS-based Scams: With the rise of mobile banking and online verification, SMS has become a popular tool for communication. Hackers are aware of this and often send fraudulent SMS messages pretending to be from trusted entities, such as your bank or a service provider. These messages might contain links that, when clicked, install malware on your device or lead you to fake websites designed to steal your personal information. Always be wary of unsolicited messages and never click on suspicious links.
  • Phishing attacks: most of us have received an urgent email claiming to be from our bank, alerting us to an issue with your account. Or perhaps a message arrives, seemingly from a reputable online retailer, enticing you with a limited-time offer. These could be elaborate phishing attacks. Cybercriminals excel at crafting deceptive emails and texts that imitate the communication style of legitimate organizations.
  • Public Wi-Fi networks: we’re all guilty of connecting to a random Wi-Fi network while waiting at a café, airport, or hotel. But did you know hackers can create their own unsecured Wi-Fi networks with names similar to genuine ones, tempting users to connect? Once connected, your data becomes exposed.

How Hackers Target Your Phone

Let’s venture into the dark corners of the hacking world, where malicious apps, phishing attacks, and unsecured Wi-Fi networks are just a few of the tactics hackers employ to infiltrate your smartphone.

Oh yes, there’s more. These tech-savvy tricksters are constantly improving their game by whipping up new methods of outsmarting security measures.

Have you ever encountered an unexpected text link or a dubious app prompt?

These could be lures to deceive you into downloading malware or divulging personal information. Awareness is your shield, so stay vigilant!

What Can You Do to Avoid Getting Hacked?

Having heightened your awareness about potential threats, let’s empower you with the next steps to defend your smartphone:

  • Regular updates: updates do more than introduce new features; they remedy security vulnerabilities too, so keep them up to date at all times.
  • Look out for suspicious links & apps: before clicking on or downloading something, pause. Is it legit? Always stick to official app stores and trustworthy sources to lessen hacking risks.
  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): A good way to up your security is with a two-step verification alongside your password.
  • Strong, unique passwords: ‘1234’ won’t cut it, sadly. Instead, opt for complex, varied passwords and explore reputable password managers.
  • Lock down Wi-Fi connections: For sensitive tasks, avoid public Wi-Fi and consider the shield of a Virtual Private Network (VPN) for encrypted browsing.
  • Use a VPN: a VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, and it acts as your digital cloak of invisibility (for the Harry Potter fans out there!). It works by encrypting your phone’s web connection and shielding your data from potential hackers, even on unsecured networks.

Conclusion

You’re now ready to browse the web from your smartphone, threat-free!

Remember, the best way to stay cyber-savvy, and cyber-safe is to understand the basics of protecting your smartphone and never lose sight of the fact that hackers are constantly upping their game, so you need to stay ahead of them at all times.

The trick is to keep your apps updated, never click on anything unless you’re 100% sure it’s legit, pop that VPN on, and trust your gut. It’s never to late to level up your cybersecurity game and protect your phone from cyberattacks.

Stay secure and stay vigilant, friends!

Next week, Samsung plans to introduce the Galaxy Watch6 series at its Unpacked event. We have summarized the most important leaks of recent times for you. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch6 series at its Unpacked event next week. A supposedly official partner shop from Samsung already lists the watches with some specifications and thus also reveals the model variants.

The Galaxy Watch6 Series Will Include A Total Of Eight Models

The Galaxy Watch6 can be pre-ordered in the Funshop from July 27 to August 7 and ordered regularly from August 11. According to the product page in the shop, the watch will be available in eight variants. With the basic version of the Watch6, customers can choose between a diameter of 40 mm or 44 mm. The slightly larger Classic version has a diameter of 43 mm or 47 mm. For a surcharge, all models are also available with an LTE modem and an eSIM option, which makes it possible to make phone calls or send messages without a cell phone connected via Bluetooth.

Image Leaks Show Watch6 And Watch6 Classic

How important it is to Samsung to keep non-released images and data of its future devices secret is made clear by an almost completely redacted article in which WinFuture shared preview images showing the smartwatches in multiple colors and from all sides. We did catch a glimpse of a screenshot showing the Galaxy Watch6 Classic in silver and black and the base version in beige. The renders showcase the Watch6 Classic with a rotating bezel last seen on the Galaxy Watch4 Classic . Visually. The Watch6 is reminiscent of its predecessor Watch5.

At the same time, the Classic version is more reminiscent of the Watch4 due to its bezel. In the latest photo from South Korea’s Yonhap News, which Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) published on Twitter, Samsung seems to want to show off its newcomer. The former Bundesliga player Son Heung-min pictured on it, is holding the Galaxy Watch 6 on his wrist in such a representative way for the camera that the snapshots seem intentional and suggest targeted marketing by Samsung. In the pictures from July 14, 2023, the footballer is at Incheon International Airport in Seoul.

Galaxy Watch6 And Watch6 Classic Specifications Leaked So Far

The people who expected an Exynos W980 in the new System Watch age will most likely be disheartened since Samsung has proactively affirmed the less strong Exynos W930 with the Bluetooth SIG. Since the “Exynos S5E5515” model number is indistinguishable from that of the Exynos W920, which we know from the Universe Watch4 and World Watch5, this is, by all accounts, a rebranding. It would be possible that Samsung would build the clock recurrence.

According to a tweet by Ahmed Qwaider (@AhmedQwaider888), the Galaxy Watch6 (Classic) will have a slightly larger battery that, together with the Exynos W930, which is said to be manufactured using the 5 nm process, will provide up to 20 percent longer battery life. In addition, the smartwatch display should be around 20 percent larger than its predecessor’s. The tipster names 2 GB for the RAM size and 16 GB for the internal memory. Qwaider also comes up with some product images that are said to come from Samsung.

Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications

As Samsung confirms, some Galaxy smartwatches will, in the future, detect cardiac arrhythmias and thus indicate an irregular heart rate. The IHRN feature was approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) after approval was granted by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 is expected to be the first Galaxy model with this feature.

As part of the One UI 5 Watch operating system update, the feature should also be available for other wearables from Samsung. The health feature is initially to be introduced in 13 countries. However, approval in this country could follow shortly. We will learn more about the Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic at the official launch on July 26. The foldable Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 are also part of the party.

Once the “matching” stage between the two Android gadgets is finished, the client is approached to pick which data to move, naturally shipping it to the new gadget. The Google application is especially helpful because it eases the client of physically moving applications, messages, applications, and email and record designs or depending on the cloud. Indeed, your Google account is moved with the boundaries of different records designed on the old Android gadget.

Keeping the two Android cell phones close is critical because the information moves, a piece like the Google Record application does ( Android Document Chief: Documents Go Records by Google, this is the secret ), utilizing both Bluetooth and Wireless association. Without exertion, you will wind up with the greater part of the applications and settings on the old cell phone naturally duplicated on the new gadget.

The Design gadget voice order can be utilized whenever, even on Android cell phones where the underlying setup methodology has proactively been finished: call the voice associate by saying alright, Google or Hello, Google.

Set Up Google Devices And Third-Party Products To Manage Them With Voice Assistant

We have seen that the Configure device voice command is of fundamental importance for quickly configuring a new Android smartphone by restoring the main configurations and preferences taken from the old terminal. However, there is another Google app that could be effective for many users: Google Home.

The application, which we have talked about several times, proves to be a practical and versatile tool for configuring Google hardware devices, such as the Chromecast HDMI stick, the Nest Mini compact speaker, the digital frame with Nest Hub smart functionality, Google Home and Google Home Mini smart living room speakers, video cameras, doorbells, smoke detectors and other Nest-branded smart products (more information here ).

The Google Home app, however, can also be used to add and control third-party devices directly . To get started, simply press the “+” button in the upper left corner of the Google Home app and then choose Set Up Device. The next screen will allow you to configure Google products or, in any case, those displaying the ” Made for Google ” label: select the first item and Configure new devices in your home.

Choosing instead: Have you already configured something? , you will access a very long list of manufacturers that allow their devices to interact with the Google digital assistant: we also discussed it in the article. In Google Home, it is possible to add one or more homes and divide the configured devices based on the environments in which they are physically located.

During the setup of the new device, which will be automatically detected, Google Home will indicate what can be done with each product:

Match entry. With this particular function, the device can recognize your voice, distinguishing it from all the others. It is a very useful feature if more people in the house use the Google device with their own account. Google will, of course, collect additional information about each user, so many may not like the idea. See Phone History on Android: When It’s Useful or Should Be Cleared. Music Services.

Smart devices connected with Google Home can connect to services such as Spotify, Deezer, Pandora, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, and more. By connecting one or more services, you can decide which sources to draw from when you ask Google Assistant to play a piece of music.

Video Services. By connecting a Google device that integrates a display, such as the Nest Hub, you can combine all the video services you use or, in any case, those to which you have subscribed. Also, in this case, establishing a link with Google Assistant helps to play your favorite video content using simple voice commands instantly. Google Duos. The Google Home app will ask if you want to set up this service via Google Duo: Google Duo: How the video calling app works.

Using Google devices that integrate speakers and microphones, calls can be made with the Duo app by contacting anyone in the address book with the same application installed. When you are away from home, you can also call your Google device and talk to your loved ones by simply launching the Duo app on your smartphone and choosing the item Call my Google Home devices . Google Photos. Google Home will ask if you want to link your account with Google Photos on devices with displays. In this way, the device can show a slideshow of the photos.

Gaming content has gained much popularity on YouTube, even though the platform wasn’t initially conceived for that theme. Millions of gamers watch others play, but what if the platform allows you to play directly from its app? YouTube was born in 2005 as a general video-sharing site where users could upload and view content of various kinds.

In the intervening years, video games have seen explosive growth in popularity and cultural influence. Gamers have become increasingly interested in watching other gamers play, learning tips and tricks, and staying updated on the latest news in the video game world. This growing demand has paved the way for a wide variety of gaming content to emerge on YouTube.

Thus was born the figure of the content creator specialized in video games, dissimilar in certain aspects from that of the videogame journalist. They started uploading gameplay videos, guides, reviews, previews, and more. These videos attract millions of viewers who are passionate about video games and who have found YouTube to be an accessible platform to share their experiences and interact with other enthusiasts.

Youtube And Twitch: Is Watching Others More Fun?

YouTube has also provided valuable tools for creators of gaming content. Monetization features like advertisements have earned creators money from their videos. This has encouraged many enthusiasts to devote themselves full-time to content creation, thus turning their hobby into a profession (if it suits them). Meanwhile, Twitch, launched in 2011, has focused on live broadcasting gaming content from the beginning.

The platform has been highly successful, attracting professional streamers, esports events, and a vast user base that is passionate about gaming. However, YouTube has gradually gained traction as a rival to Twitch. One of the main reasons for this success has been YouTube’s already existing large user base. Once a live broadcast on Twitch is over, many content creators upload the video, whole or cut, to YouTube to reach a wider audience. In addition, YouTube has also integrated the ability to stream.

YouTube’s ability to offer pre-recorded and live gaming content has made the platform more versatile than Twitch, which focuses primarily on streaming. In response to growing competition from YouTube, Twitch has been looking to expand beyond gaming content, introducing categories like “Just Chatting” and hosting events of various kinds. However, YouTube has managed to maintain its strong position in the gaming content sector. But is watching others play more fun than playing the game yourself? We don’t think so, and perhaps YouTube thinks so too, which would have decided to allow users to play directly from the app.

It Can Be Played On Youtube

Google is testing a new product allowing users to play games on YouTube. According to the newspaper, the new product will be called “Playables” and allow users to play games instantly through the YouTube application on mobile and desktop devices. Google recently invited employees to start testing the product; one of the currently playable games in the trial is Stack Bounce, an arcade game that looks similar to games like Brick Breaker Arcade on Android.

The recent news comes at an exciting time for Google if it intends to venture into the gaming sector again. Google’s previous attempt was its cloud gaming platform, Stadia, which launched in 2019, but whose service was shut down on January 18, 2023. Those who enjoy watching others play will continue to do so, but shortly. YouTube could offer this new option: to play directly from its platform. We are still determining what kind of video games will be available, whether ad hoc developed titles or old and new-gen third-party products.

The Diffusion Of The POS

By now, it is increasingly common to see this type of device in any supermarket and shop: the POS is depopulating in any business and commercial establishment as the most widespread payment terminal to accept customer payments and transactions.

The discussion regarding the characteristics and functions of the POS (Point of Sale) has considerably increased in volume in the weeks that accompanied the obligation for merchants and professionals to equip themselves with this tool, with the annexed entry into force of the sanctions envisaged if one of the recipients of the government measure is found to be non-compliant: the controversy about the non-functioning POS has become increasingly recurring. In any case, this tool can accept payments quickly, effectively and comfortably: three adjectives increasingly driving digitization vectors worldwide.

Digitization Of Payments

The adoption by the Italian State of the POS on a generalized level is only the latest in the long trail of symbols that show the race towards digitization by payment mechanisms. The gradual but equally rapid abandonment of cash is leading millions of people – from the more digitized young people but also to the more advanced social spheres – to adopt cashless and possibly contactless payment solutions: in this sense, the real leading role belongs to several years to credit, debit or prepaid cards, which can be used either by inserting them into the payment terminal or simply by holding them close, and in a few seconds the transaction will be carried out without the need to use coins or banknotes.

Not only that: a series of technological and avant-garde possibilities are being added to this increasingly traditional use today. From integrated payments on smartphones and smartwatches thanks to NFC technology to existing payment apps that can be adopted by shops and points of sale such as Satispay, payment mechanisms today are more varied than ever. In the direction of secure payments as they are verifiable, fast and comfortable.

What If The POS Doesn’t Work?

You may repeat this question several times if your business as a trader or freelancer requires the POS to be equipped, regardless of 30 June 2022, as regards the territory. The payment terminal is, in fact, an object that works tirelessly throughout the day; it is subject to a very high proportion of transactions and consequent mechanisms that must verify and then accept payments: it can therefore happen that sometimes complications arise in its use, defects or the need to replace or change it.

Precisely for this reason, the topic of POS assistance is becoming an increasingly fundamental topic if this type of case study just listed has to be presented: any replacement, repair or maintenance of the POS will have to become, over time, a ‘business faster and more efficient, so that traders and professionals do not have to spend an inordinately long period without having this device.

POS Assistance: Repair And Replacement

Naturally, it is important to go and choose a POS that can guarantee safety and a long span of use, but problems or malfunctions can always occur, especially when the POS has been used for some time. Sometimes, for example, it is possible to find on the POS the failed connection with the credit, debit or prepaid card used by the customer: once it has been proved that the problem is not to be found on the card itself, it may be advisable not to resort directly to the POS assistance but turn off and on the device, which for some reason may have suspended its functionality.

If connected by cable, it may be advisable to completely disconnect the POS from the electricity and data networks so that the device can restore its functions. In the event of more serious problems, such as the device falling, breaking or failing to turn on, it is possible that the POS needs more invasive repairs or even to be replaced: simple maintenance is not enough for this, but it is necessary to resort to the more usual POS assistance, which today is now guaranteed by all those players who are among the protagonists within the market for the sale of these payment terminals.

Therefore, not only the POS can accept payments with maximum efficiency and simplicity: together with the increasingly widespread implementation of these payment devices, but the market is also characterized by services that can guarantee the correct functioning of the POS (Point of Sale), or possibly very rapid repair and replacement of the same. If their use is now essential for millions of merchants and customers who want to pay cashless or contactless, having a properly functioning payment terminal is equally necessary.

There are valid justifications not to need to converse with each guest. Particularly when such contacts call repeatedly, it can immediately become irritating. We’ll let you know how to hinder undesirable iPhones and Android cell phone guests.

It Would Help If You Blocked Some Calls

Selling calls you have not recently agreed to has been prohibited for a long time. In Switzerland, you can stamp your telephone directory passage with a star and, in this way, lawfully shield yourself from undesirable promotion. By and by, calls like this reoccur repeatedly- which is irritating.

Telephone tricks are less innocuous and similarly irritating to phishing tricks. You will either be called straight by individuals or machines and fooled into giving out different data, or the telephone will ring momentarily. Your resulting genuine review can be an expensive trap.

One more valid justification for obstructing calls is a highly pushy admirer, ex or stalker.

iPhone/iOS: Block Calls From Specific Contacts

You can obstruct calls, FaceTime demands, and messages from exact numbers if they’ve reached you previously. It doesn’t make any difference, regardless of whether you answered.

Instructions To Block Calls And More From Chosen Numbers On iPhone:

  • Contingent upon what you need to hinder, open the proper application. For instance, the FaceTime, Messages or Mail application or the call sign in the Telephone application.
  • Tap the data symbol close to the telephone number, contact, email, or message. If you don’t see the image, first, tap on the actual reach. For notifications, you should initially open the email.
  • Tap Block This Contact. In many menus, you need to look down to the base.

You will never again get notices about obstructed calls or messages. Messages are moved to the waste. The obstructed contact won’t get a warning that you have hindered them.

iPhone/iOS: Block All Unknown Numbers

From iOS 13, you additionally have the choice to impede all numbers that you need the foggiest idea. Numbers saved in your contact list, with which you have imparted through instant messages or who have given you their telephone number in an email, are then viewed as known. So be cautious with this block include!

Calls hindered in this manner are diverted to voice messages and appear in the call list. However, you will never again get a warning. The principal exemption: When you settle on a crisis decision, “Quiet obscure guests” is deactivated for 24 hours so you can be arrived at on the off chance that a crisis administration or the police gets back to you.

Instructions To Hinder All Unknown Numbers On iPhone:

  • Go to “Settings > Telephone” and look down.
  • Tap Quiet Obscure Guests.

Android: Block Calls From Specific Contacts

Android cell phones offer the capacity to impede calls from chosen numbers. An approaching call from this number will then be naturally dismissed. Note: Since the different makers of Android phones occasionally execute the menus and settings unexpectedly, the technique can vary marginally from one gadget to another.

The Most Effective Method To Block Chosen Telephone Numbers On Android Cell Phones:

  • Open the phone app.
  • Tap the three-spot menu and go to “Call History”.
  • Choose the contact/number you want to block.
  • Tap Block/Report Spam.

Note: For specific gadgets, for instance, from Samsung, you will find the call list under “Later”. If you tap on the contact/number and the data button (“I”), you will track down additional insights regarding the contact. You will see a three-speck menu in the future, in which you can likewise choose “Block contact”. If the number isn’t saved, there might be a “Block” button straightforwardly in the contact subtleties.

Android: Turn Worked In Spam Security On And Off

Android accompanies a component called “Guest ID and Spam Security”. It is empowered, of course. Isn’t that the situation for you, or would you like to switch it off? Beneath, you can pursue how to make it happen. Note: Note that Google will get data about the approaches your cell phone assuming you enact the “Guest ID and spam assurance” includes. Nonetheless, information from contacts put away in the telephone directory won’t be moved.

Step-By-Step Instructions To Turn On Programmed Spam Security On Android Cell Phones:

  • Open the Telephone application.
  • Follow “More choices > Settings > Spam and call channel”.
  • Turn on or off Show Guest ID and Spam ID. With this setting, your cell phone will illuminate you about spam calls.
  • Empower the “Channel out spam calls” choice to obstruct spam calls straightforwardly.

The Metaverse is known to be a divisive concept. Only some know what it means beyond science fiction writers and Mark Zuckerberg. The genius of social media, the man who created a predatory and ruthless paradigm of online social interaction but who practically monopolized the sphere of discourse for a decade, is no stranger to wits.

When Facebook was nothing more than a very interactive web page at the beginning of the Zero years (the era in which the Gmail interface seemed like a technological miracle and Web 2.0 was talked about as if it were the culmination of human evolution ), he sensed before many others that mobile phones had become smart and that this would be the future. In a move that few, very few other companies would have been able to make, it moved all the technology of a website into a smartphone app.

It was thought of as the suicide of the company (at least, those of Twitter and other social networks hoped for it), the worst strategic move of the century, but it wasn’t like that. Indeed, exactly the opposite. And Facebook has become such a social giant, thanks to mobile devices and the pervasiveness of a social network that suddenly always walks with you in your pocket and allows you to message in real-time, upload photos and videos, and know your position. A boon for investors.

The Change Of Gear For Facebook

Then, Facebook ended up amid privacy scandals. The company understood that it had to change course, and there was also disintermediation from the platforms (the underlying operating systems, such as iOS), which were beginning to resent a social network that was the nose in the life of users. Google and Apple started closing their doors and windows, and Zuckerberg realized he had to do something about it.

That something was a new and different world. A world made of interactions in the environment and in a much more natural way. A world inspired by video games and science fiction imagery and the idea ( widespread throughout Silicon Valley ) that the future replaces our world with a digital one or at least the superimposition of a series of information on the real world. Virtual reality or augmented reality, in short. What Zuckerberg calls a metaverse.

A world free from platforms because going to the Metaverse also means creating an operating system from scratch. Zuckerberg had already tried to make Facebook’s smartphone but needed to go further. With Oculus, he tried to make a platform where he owns both the operating system and the social app. This means that it controls everything and does not risk being cut off by privacy protection choices made by other companies, which cut off access to sensors for location, movement, history, etc.

Metaverse Or Second Life In 3D?

However, Zuckerberg hit his face against the wall. Despite having said that the vision for the Metaverse is ten years from now and that everything must be built and invented, the criticisms of the system are practically daily. People use the first experiences created by Meta. Nobody accepts a vision that resembles a 2.0 version of Second Life in 3D. Only in the gaming world have we started talking about video games that make sense with three-dimensional and immersive graphics.

The rest remained in the background: from 3D movies to apps to hunt Pokemon around the planet. All beautiful, they excited venture capitalists and serial startuppers, but they didn’t produce anything concrete. If you’re running a business, selling clothing or home accessories, and want to know yourself and increase your business, the place to be is still good old Facebook, not the Metaverse. Or Google searches with SEO (which, however, the arrival of ChatGPT has strongly questioned, but that’s a whole other story).

So what happens now? Zuckerberg knows because he certainly knew what Apple was preparing. And what Apple has presented, i.e. the Apple Vision Pro viewer is a tool (for now one. In a while, maybe a year, the non-Pro version will probably also arrive, which will do something less but will also cost much less ) which it does exactly what Zuckerberg hoped augmented and virtual reality headsets, “spatial computing,” could do.

The War Between Apple And Meta

Too bad that in two hours and five minutes of presentation, none of those from Apple has ever pronounced the word “metaverse”. Why? The answer is simple: now there is a real war between Apple and Meta to conquer a remarkable space. The two companies have to convince, with different approaches and technologies, that this thing we can call in many ways makes sense and is worth using. Warning: Apple Vision Pro is a technological prodigy. There is no device like that in any field, commercial, military, industrial, or medical.

However, it is still a character in search of an author. It needs to be given that more people want to buy it, put it on, and use it to do things. To achieve this, the world that Apple promises must be defined. The Vision Pro must tell what an environment looks like that we know to be very familiar and intuitive to use on the one hand (apps common to the Apple ecosystem, super smart commands with gestures, movement of the eyes and fingers, voice), with well-known mechanics (the app store also works in the Apple metaverse) and on the other hand with somewhat sci-fi aspects (facial recognition, sensitive eyes, machine-driven interactions), somewhat complex possible uses.

How To Win The Metaverse War

Let’s remember the technology, of which Apple has said very little (two chips, goggles attached to the eyes, spatial audio, the external battery and little else ) and focus on the uses. What is such a device used for? Aside from the gadget freaks and those just looking for a status symbol to show off to show that they have $3,500 plus tax at their disposal, what is the purpose of such a device? Who uses it, and for what? This phase, which anthropologists call the ” taming of technology “, is the one that will define the possible success of a device that is certainly fantastic in terms of hardware and software but which certainly hasn’t won because it still has to play the whole game. Mark Zuckerberg knows it and is worried because he has already played a piece of the game and is losing sensationally.
